Twenty years ago, when our first child was born, I longed for the freedom to work from home so I could truly be present. I tried a little of everything—from customer service and medical claims processing to running a successful eBay store. I was earning an income, but my work lacked the passion and purpose I craved.

Fast forward nine years, with four more kids in tow, I started a blog to encourage moms and homeschoolers. Late nights, trial and error, and endless learning finally led me to my “happy place” in online business: marketing, strategy, writing, design, analytics, and research.
